Playa La Lancha is a secluded and unspoiled beach located in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, renowned for its consistent waves and natural beauty. It’s a popular destination for surfers of all levels, offering a unique and tranquil beach experience away from the crowds. The beach boasts white sand, turquoise waters, and a lush jungle backdrop. Consistent waves, ranging from waist to chest high, offer a reliable break year-round. Diverse wave types cater to different skill levels, including mellow waves for beginners, challenging right-hand breaks for intermediates, and faster left-hand waves for experienced surfers. The area is teeming with wildlife, including green sea turtles, pelicans, butterflies, and occasionally crocodiles in the adjacent swamp. Access requires an 8-10 minute hike through a jungle trail, with WildMex offering board rentals, lockers, changing rooms, and a restaurant. The atmosphere is secluded and quiet, emphasizing a connection with nature. It’s approximately 4 kilometers southeast of Punta de Mita, accessible via Pemex Gas Station or 13.4 kilometers northwest of the Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
